Department of Medical Laboratory Science and Biotechnology
The Bachelor program is to train Gambia students become experts in the field of medical laboratory science and biotechnology. To promote the Gambia students become experts in the field of medical laboratory science and biotechnology and to establish the international academic relation as well as academia-industry cooperation.
To follow the policy of MOE on international academic campus and technical cooperation, and to develop KMU's distinguishing features along with personnel training plans in education, we expect to cooperate with Gambia through academic and technical collaboration, to help train the high school graduates of Gambia become experts in the field of medical laboratory science and biotechnology, and award them with the Bachelor of Science degree if only they complete the 135 credits of the program.
Composing of the faculty members from Department of Medical Laboratory Science, School of Medicine, Department of Medicinal and Applied Chemistry, Department of Biomedical Science and Environmental Biology, Center for General Education, and Division of Physical Education. The curriculum is a 4-year intensive training and lectures in English. In accord with the regular 4-year university program, divided into selective and required courses with more flexibility. Arrange students to the Department of Laboratory Medicine of KMUH for internship. The program is taught in English, and the teacher's hourly wage will be paid according to the rewarding regulations of MOE.
